One of the more interesting theories for the existence of ghosts is that of a remaining life force. That is, when someone passes into the beyond an image of kinetic energy remains in the form of a ghost. Granted, there is no basis in fact for this assessment as proof of ghosts, as it has no basis in factual science whatsoever. But, the notion that energy leaves a mark is not an unfounded one. While there are no such things as ghosts, there are such things as traumas and like a ghost, the energy of a trauma will haunt the psyche until it manifests as any one of a number of maladies. It does this by attaching itself to the body's energy flow, which disrupts it significantly. Since it can be next to impossible to eradicate the body's energy flow we are left with the alternative: modifying the energy flow to make it more beneficial as opposed to harmful. This is where therapies such as Emotional Realignment Therapy (ERT) come into play.
When an individual goes through a traumatic emotional experience, there is the possibility that emotional scarring remains. As anyone who has experienced a trauma knows, there is an overpowering energy that is common with negative emotional experiences, and this energy can leave a presence in the body even long after the emotional experience has faded into history. Emotional Realignment Therapy seeks to extract this negative residual energy and allow the body to return to the sense of balance that it had previously enjoyed.
In terms of the actual therapy performed, ERT can be performed as either limited physical therapy, or a combination of physical and counselling therapy. That is, one can have the emotional baggage removed with or without discussing the problem. Ultimately, the right choice is up to the individual, as one method may be more suited for a particular individual than the other. Regardless of which method one chooses, the important thing is that proper treatment is initiated and that it has the intended results.
Emotions are a powerful thing. They can make a person bask in positive energy or they can lead to a person wallowing in misery and self-pity. If the effects are negative then they must be properly treated, and ERT is one of the better potential treatment methods. In so many cases, ERT aids an individual in becoming free of the chains of negative emotional baggage.
